KAM Tool and Die offers the following services all under one roof

Reverse Engineering

We can create a virtual model of an existing part. We speed up development and cut production costs by utilizing our equipment to reverse engineer your part. We import raw, digitized data from our vision measuring system and convert it into CAD and CAM systems. We then reconstruct it as a 3-D model. We can even take a worn or broken part and digitally reconstruct its original form, and then produce it.

CAD/CAM Design

We use programs such as Solid Works, Surf-Cam and DP Esprit to reverse engineer parts, model new parts, and program equipment. We continually train our technicians to stay up to date with the latest technology in 3-D modeling.

Precision Machining (EDM, Mill, and Lathe)

Our seven Mitsubishi Wire EDM machines have an accuracy of +/- 0.0001″. These machines have a workspace capacity of 33.4″x25.5″x11.6″ and 4-axis capability. We also have three Sinker EDM machines with programmable C-axis, seven position tool changer, and a max workpiece capacity of 37″x22″x16″. We have one Small Hole EDM machine with a 0.008″ minimum hole diameter and a maximum workpiece of 17.7″x11.8″x11.8″. KAM is also home to seven CNC Machining Centers with 84″x40″x30″ travel and fifth axis capacity. Our three CNC Lathes have capabilities of live tooling and automatic bar feed. Our lathes also have programmable sub-spindles and a 12″ workplace diameter
